About Will Flitcroft

How it all began

Will is an accomplished golfer and respected PGA Professional with extensive experience across both Australia and the United States. As an amateur, he competed in prestigious events such as the US Amateur, NSW Open and NSW PGA, represented Golf NSW, and secured multiple Vardon titles. During his PGA Traineeship, he continued this success by winning several events and being named the 2017 NSW/ACT Trainee Professional Champion.

Coaching experience

Over the past decade, Will has been coaching at Manly Golf Club. He established a highly regarded Junior Program after completing his Level 3 Junior Certification with the Titleist Performance Institute in California in 2018—a qualification held by only a small number of Australian PGA members. The program is recognised for its structured approach and focus on long-term development, helping young golfers build both skill and a deep understanding of the game.

During this time, Will has also been fortunate to work alongside some of the world’s leading coaches, including Rick Sessinghaus (coach to Collin Morikawa) and Dana Dahlquist, whose clients have included Charles Howell III, Brad Faxon, Beau Hossler, Scott Piercy and Viktor Hovland. Drawing on these experiences, he continues to refine his coaching through ongoing professional development, ensuring his students benefit from the most current knowledge and evidence-based practices.

Coaching Philosophy

Will believes that effective learning begins with understanding. A key focus of his lessons is helping students identify the root causes of any issues in their golf swing. Without this awareness, it is difficult to make meaningful improvements.

He aims to develop golfers who can self-diagnose their swing faults and make adjustments independently. By understanding common errors and bad habits, students become less reliant on external guidance and more confident in their ability to perform on the course.

After each lesson, students receive a lesson review with voice-over commentary via the Skillest app. This allows them to revisit previous lessons, reinforce key concepts, and track their ongoing progress.
